SIZZLING SISTERS BEACH

ALCOHOL FREE Fun Family Event at Sisters Beach-

On Saturday March 31st from 1pm to 7pm @ Sisters Beach

The iparty team along with Tas Music, Sisters Beach Community Association, Tas Police, Local Councils and coast radio - Coast Fm and Sea FM will be hosting a Fantastic free family event at Sisters Beach.

Cool guy -Chris Lynch will keep the fun rolling on MC-ing a day filled with activities and games for the whole family, cool give-aways and information, a sausage sizzle fundraiser, and iparty SMS register to join.

Coast FM will be broadcasting live from the event AND Sea FM's Ben and Teens will be there with the SEA FM Cruiser to keep things rocking along.

Then from 3pm things really hot up with live music from:
Greg Ling and Friends
Ben Curtis
My Escapad'e
and Cruel Like That

So pack the kids and the picnic rug and head to Sisters Beach on Saturday March 31st!!

What's new for 2007?

Hi there groovas and shakers!

Just a brief on what the iparty team are getting up to this year.

1. Sizzling Sisters!
Sizzling Sisters, is an alcohol free event which will be held at the Sisters Beach Reserve on Saturday 31st of March 2007. There will be bands, activities, a live cross with Sea Fm and Coastal Fm, heaps of free giveaways and a sausage sizzle. Some come along and enjoy the 'hopefully hot weather' and live tunes. Stay posted for more info.

iparty Industry - The iparty project coordinator (Janine Phillis) and Youth Health Team North West (DHHS) are developing a project to take into the workplace. It is envisaged that the project will be up and running by mid 2007.........Stay tuned for more developments.

National Youth Week 2007.
A great event is being organised for King Island. Look out for us! More information about this event will be available at a later date.

National Crime and Violence Prevention Awards

The iparty Project won an award of merit in the 2006 National Crime and Violence Prevention Awards. A presentation ceremnony was held on the 8th of December 2006 in Hobart with a subsequent cermony held on the North West Coast - Warratah/ Wynyard Council Chambers the following week. Way to go iparty!

RAP Launch and SK8 Jam

Come and check out the RAD event!!!

The RAP Launch and Sk8 Jam will be held on the 14th of October, starting at 12:00 PM, Official RAP Launch at 12:30 PM.

The event will be held at the Creative Living Centre, Marine Terrace Burnie.

There's heaps of awesome stuff to do, come and check out the new iparty resources for 'Register A Party' (RAP), pop some ollies and do some grinds on the mobile sk8 ramp or show up all those sk8ers on the new Bign hArt indoor mobile half pipe YEAH SIC!

There will be live bands and DJ's, Free style break dancers, grafitti workshops and also a FREE BBQ and drinks and even try a YUMMY moctail. Great Fun and a Great Day CHECK IT OUT!!!!

This event is apart of Burnie Shines and is in collaboration with; Community Connections Inc., Tasmania Police, Big hArt, Tas. Music and Burnie City Council.

National Youth Week 2006, 'Just add U'

For National Youth Week 2006 Community Connections Inc., Devonport City Council, Latrobe Council and Youth Health Team North West (DHHS) have lined up some fully sic events, they are;
* Dressed to Thrill' Workshops. The above services are approaching high schools and colleges in the Devonport/Latrobe area offering to come into their school and deliver an interactive and fun workshop which aims to increase young peoples' knowledge and awareness around the correct use of, durability and availability of condoms.
The workshops will be followed up with a dynamic, 'funtastic' launch.
* Rocket Cover Race Day and MUV Booklet Launch'. Will be held on the 5th of April at the Latrobe Youth Centre. The services mentioned above have developed some really great resources for young people the first being; 'The Rocket Cover' this resource is a trendy little wallet which contains one condom and one water based lubricant, the wallet includes detailed instructions for proper use of condoms and includes contact details to services for young people to access. The other resource is the 'MUV Booklet, Random Facts for Chicks and Guys'. This booklet has been designed by young people for young people. It contains useful information about a diverse array issues encountered by most young people, which contains links to webpage's and service provider details. Both of these resources are innovative and beneficial to young people.
